Chick-fil-A has definitely been one of the biggest blessings in disguise for me. I was fifteen, and had probably eaten Chick-fil-A only a handful of times. I knew I was significantly younger than most people looking for a job, but I gave it a shot and applied. Being hired at fifteen really taught me so many things at a young age that I’m so thankful to have learned. I truly learned so many things about myself that have been crucial to who I am today. This job has taught me work ethic, something I was not too familiar with just a few years ago.
Another thing this job has opened my eyes to was leading, and the desire I have in guiding a team. I enjoy taking initiative and helping others; so when I started working here, I could really express my skills as a leader, to help others in any way that I possibly could. One of the greatest skills I have taken from this experience is the love I have for communicating with others. The guests I meet on a day-to-day basis are truly incredible. One of my favorite things to do, ever since I was little, is talk. Chick-fil-A has given me the opportunity to talk and connect with so many people around the world that I would never have had the chance to experience.
Lastly, when I was hired, everyone I met never failed to let me know that the team here is like a big family. At first I thought everyone just said that to make me comfortable, but as time has gone on I truly am apart of a family that all really care about each other. Chick-fil-A is truly an amazing company to work for, it has brought forth so many skills that I’ve been thankful to share with others.
